Heart Sutra Writing for Save Vui Kong Campaign 马佛青举办“抄心经回向杨伟光”活动
Yong Vui Kong, a 22 year-old Malaysian from Sabah, was sentenced to mandatory death in January 2009 for trafficking heroin into Singapore. He was arrested at the age of 18. He was grew up from a poor family background, lack of education and misguided. His ignorance had trapped him into this situation. He even do not know that the penalty of drug trafficking is death sentence. In fact, Yong Vui Kong is also a victim in this case.
Young Buddhist Association of Malaysia (YBAM) deems that if a person can realised his own mistake and pledges his remaining life to campaign against drug-trafficking and drug abuse, he should deserve a second change in his life. Thus, YBAM is organising “Heart Sutra Writing” Event. This campaign will be held on Sunday 15th August, 9.30am-1.00pm. YBAM urge the public to join this campaign and hope that Yong Vui Kong will be given a chance in his life.

大马青年杨伟光于2007年被毒枭诱骗运送海洛英，而在新加坡被捕。被捕时只有18岁，过后被判处死刑。他在穷困的环境中成长，缺乏教育与督导，因为无知而误入歧途，甚至完全不知道贩运毒品的刑罚是死刑，在这起事件中是一名受害者。
马佛青总会认为，已深深忏悔并发愿利用余生协助反毒的杨伟光，应该获得一个重生的机会。因此，马佛青总会将举办“抄心经回向杨伟光活动”。此活动将在15/08/2010（星期日）早上九点半至中午一点进行。马佛青呼吁大众一同参与此项活动，并借大众的力量回向余杨伟光，愿他能得一个重生的机会。
