Gyazhi Puja at Karma Norbuling Buddhist Centre, Penang

Karma Norbuling Buddhist Centre (KNBC) is holding the Gyazhi Puja today at its centre in Penang mainland. The puja is led by the resident master Venerable Khedup Rinpoche assisted by his Lamas and Anilas (Nuns). The puja commenced this morning at 10.00 am and will complete at 9.00 pm tonight. The puja is excellent in dispelling the followings: *Diminishing of life forces or bad omens of untimely death, *Hard luck, *Harms from powerful spirits and demons, *Negative astrological effects, *Robbery, thefts, quarrels, unrest, *Epidemics. Gyazhi is the Puja of 400 Offerings which was first carried out by the Buddha to appease the mara or demonic negative forces within us. Wesak Day 2013

Karma Norbuling Buddhist Centre (KNBC) which is situated in Alma, Bukit Mertajam has held its Wesak celebration from 23rd May to 24th May 2013 commencing with the Buddha Bathing and Circumambulation ceremony on the Wesak Eve Night and followed by Liberation of Live, Lamp Lighting and the 16 Arahant Puja. Members and devotees of KNBC later joined in the Wesak float procession at about 6.00 pm in the Bukit Mertajam town centre. Meanwhile at Cherok To'kun, also in Bukit Mertajam, Nandaka Vihara Meditation Society also held its Wesak celebration with numerous activities, which includes, Dharma Talk, Dana, Sanghikadana and Chanting of Suttas. The celebration also includes other merit making activities, like Offering of Robes and Sangha Requisites by the devotees.

Heong Sun See Temple Vegetarian Food Fair and Medicine Buddha's Lotus Lamp Lighting

Heong Sun See is organising a Vegetarian Food Fair in conjunction with the Nine Emperor Gods (Kiew Ong Ya) Birthday. The food fair organised in the aid of the temple's building fund is commencing today 14 October 2012 (29th of the 8th Lunar Month) to 23 October 2012 (9th day of the 9th Lunar Month) from 7.30 am to 8.30 pm daily at the temple's premises. Coupons and tickers for the food fair could be obtain from the temple on any day beginning today. Contribution in cash or in any kind will be greatly appreciated. Voluntary helpers are also invited to assist on the food fair which begin from today until 23 October 2012. The Medicine Buddha's Lotus Lamp Lighting for good fortune and elimination of obstacles will be incorporated in the Medicine Buddha Repentance Puja which is to be held on 21 October 2012 (7th day of the 9th Lunar Month) from 8.00 am to 12.00 pm. Grand Sad-Dharma Pundarika and Water Repentance Puja

In conjunction with Yu Lan Pheng Festival, Heong San See Temple shall be performing a series of Puja with the aim of promoting Filial Piety, pray for the World Peace, as well as to transfer merits to the deceased, thus release them from the sufferings and be reborn in a higher realm. The Grand Sad-Dharma Pundarika Puja will be held from the 25th day of the Sixth Lunar Month to the 2nd day of the Seventh Month, corresponding to from the 12th August to 18 August 2012, from 8.00 pm to 9.30 pm. The Compassionate Water Repentance Puja and Mong Sun will be held on the 3rd day of the Seventh Month, corresponding to 19th August 2012, from 8.00 am to 6.00 pm. Lamp lighting and prayer to release the deceased from sufferings and be reborn in a better realm would also be incorporated into these Pujas. Vegetarian Food Fair at Heong Sun See Temple, Penang

The Medicine Buddha Heong Sun See Temple, Penang will be organizing a Vegetarian Food Fair in conjunction with the Nine Emperor Gods' Birthday. The food fair organized in aid of the temple's building fund shall commence from 30th day of the 8th Lunar Month (7/10/2010) to the 9th day of the 9th Lunar Month (16/10/2010) from 7.30 pm to 8.30 pm at the temple premises. Vegetarian food available are: economy rice, noodles (both fried and soup), western food i.e. vegetarian burgers, hot-dogs and chicken chops. Local specialties such as nasi lemak, chicken rice, nyonya kuih, deserts, beverages, etc. The lighting of Medicines Buddha's Lotus Lamp for good fortune and elimination of obstacles will be incorporated in the Medicine Buddha Repentance Puja on the 3rd and 8th days of the 9th Lunar Month (10/10/2010 & 15 /10/2010) from 8.00 am to 12.00 pm. Nandaka Vihara, Bukit Mertajam in Seberang Perai Tengah

To go to Nandaka, you may drive into the road leading towards the To' Kun Hill and you will see a signboard on the right side before reaching the To' Kun hillside. After turning to your right, you will past a Chinese temple and proceed straight via single lane road which will lead you right to the vihara. The vihara is a very nice and environmentally friendly in nature and man made. Its landscape was made and designed to ensure its foundation remain as strong as possible.

Today's National Maha Sanghika Dana in Penang Times Square

Today is the National Maha Sanghika Dana in Penang Times Square organized by the Yayasan Belia Buddhist Malaysia (YBBM). About more than 100 members of the Sangha were invited and more than 500 devotees were present to grace the event. In conjunction of the above event, a food fair was also organized by YBBM in order to collect funds for the Malaysian Sangha Fund.
