Amitabha and Smoke Puja in Palme Gon Buddhist Society in Butterworth

Senge Tenzin Rinpoche, together with his lamas conducted the Amitabha Buddha and Smoke Puja last night at the Palme Gon Buddhist Society in Taman Sentral, Bagan Lallang, Butterworth. Earlier, we had also carried out the liberation of frogs at the liberation riverside in conjunction of pre-Wesak and passed the merits to all living beings. May All be Well and Happy!

His Eminence Senge Tenzin Rinpoche will be in Palme Gon Buddhist Society, Butterworth from 21 April to 5 May 2012 in conjunction with the Wesak Day celebration. About H.E. Senge Tenzin Rinpoche  His Eminence Senge Tenzin, the guider of Limi Youth Society was born to Mr. Migmar and Mrs. Bhute on 29th January, 1981 in Purang, Ngari (western region of Tibet). He has done his primary schooling in Purang Primary School from the age of 6. In 1990, he was ordained by the great Drikung Kagyu yogi, Konchok Norbu, at Gongphur monastery. His ordination name was Konchok Chisang. He joined Jangchub Ling Monastery, the central institute of Drikung Kagyu Order in 1993. In this institute, he mainly studied Buddhist Philosophy, Tibetan and English language and memorized recitation texts. He received teachings from the living masters of Drikung Kagyu Order in Buddhist scripts, tantric practices, initiations and empowerments. H.E. H.H. Drikung Kyabgon Chetsang will be in Butterworth, Penang

We are pleased to announced that His Holiness Drikung Kyabgon Chetsang, the 37 th throne holder of the Drikung Kagyu Lineage will be in Butterworth, Penang next Tuesday 25 May 2010 at 7.00 pm in the Palme Gon Buddhist Society, Jalan Bagan Lallang, Butterworth. On that night His Holiness Drikung Kyabgon Chetsang will personally lead the liberation, blessings and prayer session for the devotees. His Holiness is expected to be accompanied by a number of renowned rinpoches from the Drikung Kagyu Institute (DKI) to the occasion. All are most welcomed. Remember, the program shall commence at 7.00 pm on 25 May 2010 next week. See you there.

Annual Meeting of Drikung Kagyu Institute

The Annual Meeting of the Drikung Kagyu Institute (DKI) was held on May 5, 2010 in the main conference hall of the Songtsen Library. The meeting was co-organised by the members of DKI and the Songtsen Library. The Chairman of the Governing Council, His Holiness Drikung Kyabgön Chetsang, teachers, staffs and students of the Songtsen Library, Kagyu College, Jangchubling Monastery and Samtenling Nunnery were all present. The vice chairman of the DKI Dr. Tashi Samphel gave a warm welcome speech, and Ven. Khenpo Rangdol, the Principal of Kagyu College, gave an introductory speech on account of the DKI and read out the existing reports of the Governing Council. Khenpo Rangdo explained that the main objective of the administration is to take responsibility and resolve every issue and problems related with any department under the administration of DKI.
