His Eminence Senge Tenzin Rinpoche will be in Palme Gon Buddhist Society, Butterworth from 21 April to 5 May 2012 in conjunction with the Wesak Day celebration.

About H.E. Senge Tenzin Rinpoche

His Eminence Senge Tenzin, the guider of Limi Youth Society was born to Mr. Migmar and Mrs. Bhute on 29th January, 1981 in Purang, Ngari (western region of Tibet). He has done his primary schooling in Purang Primary School from the age of 6. In 1990, he was ordained by the great Drikung Kagyu yogi, Konchok Norbu, at Gongphur monastery. His ordination name was Konchok Chisang.

He joined Jangchub Ling Monastery, the central institute of Drikung Kagyu Order in 1993. In this institute, he mainly studied Buddhist Philosophy, Tibetan and English language and memorized recitation texts. He received teachings from the living masters of Drikung Kagyu Order in Buddhist scripts, tantric practices, initiations and empowerments. H.E. Senge Tenzin was formally recognized as the reincarnation of the great Druptop (Mahasiddha, or highly realized being) Senge Yeshi by His Holiness the Drikung Kyabgon Chetsang Rinpoche in 1994, on 15th day of the first Tibetan month. Senge Yeshi was an awaked Yogi and was a close disciple of Kyobpa Jigten Sumgon, the founder of the Drikung Kagyu Order.

His reincarnations have earned the title Limi Trulku, (the reincarnation of Limi). Under the guidance of the retreat master Druptop Yeshi, Senge Tenzin Rinpoche stayed in a three year retreat, practicing "Four Preliminary Practices", "Fivefold Path of Mahamudra" and "Six Yoga of Naropa" from 1996 to 1999. This retreat system is a unique Kagyu tradition of Tibetan Buddhism and was funded by Drikung Kagyu Institute and His Holiness Drikung Kyabgon Chetsang Rinpoche. After seriously practicing in retreat, H.E. went on a pilgrimage to the sacred Shel-Re-Drugda (Crystal Mountain) in the Dolpo, northeast Nepal in 2000. It is known that Druptop Senge Yeshi christened the Shel-Re-Drugda as the residence of the Dechog deity. The visit was advised and supported by His Holiness Drikung Chetsang Rinpoche. Since 2001, H.E. Senge Tenzin has been running two Dharma centers in Taiwan and studied Chinese language there.

In 2003, Senge Tenzin Rinpoche visited Limi, which was the first reunion in his life time. During this visit H.E. initiated teachings to the people of Limi and celebrated the reunion for three weeks with the devoted people of Limi. In this 21st century, Tibetans outside Tibet, meaning Tibetan in Nepal and India, have preserved every aspect of the Tibetan culture, tradition and religion, which were almost gone in Tibet during the Cultural Revolution of China. H.E. second visit to Limi was in 2008 along with H.H. Drikung Kyabgon Chetsang Rinpoche. Both his Holiness and His Eminence initiated important teachings to the people of Limi and observed the rich cultural heritages of Limi. They visited the very sacred places of Limi and curiously observed the ancient paintings, writings and location.

H.E. Senge Tenzin Rinpoche heads five monasteries in Limi, Purang and Dolpo, which were taken care by his previous reincarnations and he is working hard to maintain and develop these monasteries to educate the monks and to accommodate the spiritual needs of the people. Gongphur Monastery in Purang, Rinchen Ling, Phalgye Ling and Kunzom Dhongag Choeling monasteries in Limi and Gomoche Monastery in Dolpo are the monasteries under the supervision of His Eminence Senge Tenzin Rinpoche. H.E. has been providing supports to the monasteries while he is undergoing his studies and running the two Dharma Centers in Taiwan.

Soon H.E. will take full responsibility for finding sustainable solutions for both the spiritual and financial requirements of his monasteries and people. As His Eminence Senge Tenzin Rinpoche is directly related to the people of Limi as the reincarnation of Limi, the executive members of Limi Youth Society in 2009 decided to appoint His Eminence as the Guider of Limi Youth Society with the consent of all members. So, H.E. is currently serving as the Guidance of Limi Youth Society.
