In conjunction of the Vassa period (rain retreat - monks go into intensive practice), a number of activities and programs were organized by Nandaka Vihara in order for devotees and well-wishers to gain merit and encourage them to perform meritorious deeds, such as performing dana (giving of food and donations), offerings of monks' and daily requisites.

Besides, a novitiate program was also organized to encourage interested and well informed devotees to experience the monastic life for a week which had commenced on last Saturday until the end of this week. The novitiate program received outstanding response from devotees from as far as Kuala Lumpur and Selangor.

Other activities included in the program are chanting of suttas, meditation practice and Dharma talk by Venerables.

Sadhu, Sadhu, Sadhu!
